Ei social media! Everyday something new drops to shake the table!
This week, Afua Asantewaa O Aduonum — our very own Singathon star — got Ghanaians talking after making a deep post on Facebook asking:

“What percentage of couples actually marry their ideal partner?”
According to Afua, many people don’t end up with their “spec” — but that doesn’t mean the marriage is bad. In fact, she says some men and women are happily married to partners who are not their ideal, and still dey chop peace of mind. She made it clear that marriage is bigger than looks or even just feelings — it’s about sense, sacrifice and compatibility.
She also revealed in her clap back to Chris Vincent, that her husband married her when she was just 26. But just when we were nodding and agreeing… boom, everywhere scatter.
In the TikTok post, Afua boldly showed the difference between her ideal man vs her real husband — and that’s when the internet turned upside down!
While some fans hailed her honesty and found it funny, others felt it was unnecessary. But one person who didn’t let it slide at all was Chris Vincent. The outspoken Ghanaian blogger came straight for her neck, calling her out for “disgracing her husband online” just for social media engagement.
According to Chris, no matter how real the message was, putting your husband out there like that was disrespectful. He didn’t mince words, and now the debate is trending!
Ghanaians are split:
🔹 Some are defending Afua, saying she’s just being real.
🔹 Others agree with Chris and think she went too far.
Afua herself wrote,
“Reality can be quite striking! Yh! Only deep thinkers will understand.”
So now the question be — can you be happily married to someone who isn’t your ideal type?
Let us know what you think. Is Afua right? Or did she mess up?
